The eldest among seven siblings, Joshua emerged into the world in Houston, TX, born to an army veteran and a homemaker. Despite their modest financial situation, the family was abundantly endowed with ethics, morals, and an unwavering sense of duty to both God and country. From an early age, Joshua displayed innate leadership qualities and held an unshakable certainty that a military uniform would eventually adorn his path.

 

His active involvement in the civil air patrol marked the beginning, and he subsequently ascended to the esteemed position of Cadet Master Chief in the Naval Junior Officer Training Corps. Joshua's multi-faceted abilities extended to the realm of sports, where he excelled in three disciplines—track, football, and soccer—adding to his accomplishments by serving as the captain of various teams.

 

His achievements took flight to new heights, as Joshua was among a select trio at his school who undertook solo flights in a Cessna 150, an accomplishment that secured him a scholarship from the Black Pilots Associations. Following his high school graduation, he heeded the call to serve and enlisted in the Army, earning a place within the esteemed 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment Airborne, known colloquially as the "Nightstalkers." Swiftly ascending through the ranks, he eventually emerged as a Squad Leader and Section Sergeant. However, after dedicating eight years of service to the Nightstalkers, Joshua felt the need for fresh challenges, prompting his request to transfer to the 10th Special Forces Group Airborne in 2015.

Within this new domain, Joshua's involvement encompassed numerous pivotal roles and clandestine operations. His responsibilities extended to the role of Electronic Warfare Chief, overseeing the entirety of Afghanistan's theater of operations. In 2018, the trajectory of Joshua's journey shifted once more as he was chosen to participate in the Army's commissioning program, "Green to Gold." In this phase, he not only acted as a mentor and assistant instructor to fellow cadets but also etched his name in history by becoming the sole active duty service member to secure a spot in Division I football. This achievement garnered national attention and served as an inspiration to countless fellow service members, urging them to pursue higher education and their aspirations.

 

Following his commissioning and attainment of a philosophy degree, Joshua took on roles as both a Platoon Leader and Officer in Charge at Fort Benning. Yet, a distinct calling beckoned, driven by his observation of how certain ideological shifts had permeated the military, potentially leaving it vulnerable. Joshua perceived that his mission to safeguard his cherished nation could be better fulfilled in the legislative realm rather than from behind a rifle. Despite seeking to combat these internal challenges, Joshua remains ever prepared to take up arms at a moment's notice, as his commitment to the National Guard persists.

 

Joshua's political aspirations embody a resounding call to action, urging his fellow Americans to unite and eliminate the forces that undermine strength and unity. He underscores the need to transcend divisions based on race, sex, gender, religion, and politics, and embrace the unifying identity of being American. A firm believer that one's humble origins need not constrain their potential, Joshua's journey stands as a testament to the limitless horizons that hard work, faith, and discipline can unlock. He draws wisdom from unexpected sources, likening it to finding substance within a bottle, rather than being fixated on its label.
